Isamu Kihara (木原 勇) is A former resident of Shioshishio and Tsumugu's grandfather who is also a fisherman. After the disaster that took place during the Ofunehiki, he accepts Chisaki into his household. After the timeskip, he is shown recuperating in a hospital after his health deteriorated.
